This year, renovation spending in Canada is forecast to hit an unprecedented $74 billion. Yes, that’s billion.
Number 1 and 2 are Kitchens & bathrooms
Whether it’s a new home or a reno, we all seem to want the same thing: kitchens with bright, open layouts where family and friends can gather.
Bathrooms, especially ensuites, are Canadians’ second favourite reno, according to another Houzz report. In 2019, we can expect ever-more attention focused on bathrooms as busy homeowners seek out serenity in their most private space.
Number 3 are Basements
“They often start as a big empty space that can be completely customized for a family’s use.”Cosy family home theatres are big on the trending basement reno list. And while the man cave is still popular, there’s also a growing number of saunas, music rooms and art studios. When it comes to fitness, look for fewer big spaces that look like gyms and, instead, smaller areas for yoga and compact workout equipment.
Home Sale Preparation
Of the 12.4 million households in Canada, more than 8.5 million families own their own homes.
According to the Vanier Institute, between 15% and 28% of Canadians under the age of 40 move each year.
We network with multiple Real Estate agents in the Ottawa area. We bring them to you to look at your home to see what they feel could make your home sell. You are under no obligation to use these agents, they are there to help you along in the process. If you should choose to use their services that is entirely up to you.
Our clients could fall in any of these categories:
